History
VICCORP Laboratory is an extended branch of the well-established and reputable Victoria Labs Group of Companies, which was founded fifty-nine years ago by Mrs. Whitehead and Mr. Neil Ajodha in Trinidad and Tobago. Following in their footsteps, Mr. Perry Ajodha, Mrs. Jamie Persadsingh and Dr. Gillisa D’Aguiar, curated VICCORP Labs in early 2022.
The decision to establish the new laboratory in Guyana was motivated by the CEOs’ desire to provide quality healthcare while increasing production efficiency. Our labs received ISO 15189+ accreditation from the Accreditation Board of Canada, which is an international standard for medical laboratories, demonstrating that it produces quality management systems, evaluates their competence, and ensures they operate in accordance with industry and legal standards.
Our Team
CEO Mrs. Jamie Persadsingh and Director Mr. Perry Ajodha and both have more than 15 years of experience in the industry, which comes as no surprise that they are the founders and leaders in charge of VICCORP’s team. They both have a vision to make VICCORP Lab a leading laboratory in the Caribbean, with a mission to prioritize health through quality care. Together with the coordinator Dr. Gillisa D’Aguiar, they created a team that is a force to be reckoned with in the field of testing. The employees are all highly qualified medical doctors, phlebotomists, pathologists, radiologists, technologists, and ancillary staff. Prior to the laboratory’s opening, the company made sure that each employee had received specialized training in health and safety, customer service, and the necessary areas of testing.
